Introduction
Appropriate Technology is a panacea for the many of the development concerns we are facing today. While the political economy of such technological application still remains an area of contestation, nobody can deny the possibilities and effectiveness of such efforts. Youth for Development Portal (YfD portal) has emerged out of that promising possibility to bring in radical changes in the present development scenario. It will fulfill the aspiration of all types of people concerned with development be it young, old, rural, urban, literate and semi literate. This is an initiative by a group of committed young development professionals who are in constant process of putting in creative ideas to many of the development concerns in this journey for sustainable and effective solutions.

ASPECTS OF YFD PORTAL

1. Solution Exchange (responding to queries of youth on various development issues)
2. Customising development issues vis-a-vis roadmap for solution
3. Idea Bank for a vibrant Youth Policy (continuous debate and raising of concerns and linking youth initiatives online and on reality)
4. Database of resources with GIS mapping for creative initiatives to become reality (region wise database on various aspects, to start with we can focus on say education, employment, skill development and so on)
5. Postings on jobs, recruitment, resume uploading, volunteer management for various works, seminars, workshops, fellowships and so on.
6. Periodic debate on issues of national and development importance to raise the voice of people who want to influence the state and central government and the portal can shape those debates in the form of actions in the field.

1. Search Engine for the NGO based on their work and operating region
   1. A data base should be created with the complete NGO profile. It should have the following attributes
      1. Name of NGO
      2. Region in which they are operating
      3. Working area - Woman Issue, Water Problem, Community Solution, Migration
      4. Brief profile of the NGO
      5. Person leading the NGO
      6. Contact Details
   2. The search engine can be work based on a or/and b or/and c. If the user will enter one or combination it will give the complete information about the NGO.
2. Search Engine for the various government programs
   1. A data base should be created with the complete social program profile. It should have the following attributes
      1. Region - District or block wise distribution of the various projects promoted by the government
      2. Area - Agriculture, Water, Small entrepreneur
      3. Money allocated for the project
      4. Contact Person/office
   2. The search engine can be work based on a or/and b or/and d. If the user will enter one or combination it will give the complete project.
3. Solutions From Specialized Person [SSP]
   1. This is a collection of specialized people like academician, carrier counselors, advocate and so on ...
   2. A person can go and ask any question related to some particular area
   3. Question should be transferred to the related specialized person and he will give the right answer
4. Forum For Youth as Idea Bank[FFY]
   1. This would be a discussion forum where various chat rooms can be initiated based upon the interest like, game, education, admission, carrier, culture, and politics. Youth can discuss here on the various issues and give their ideas to promote the activities.
   2. Record should be taken for these ideas and if possible try to implement them in real world.
5. Forum for Conventional/Non conventional Job [FFCN]
   1. This forum is started taking consideration of various conventional and non-conventional jobs.
   2. People can submit their profile based upon their specialization. A software will created to help the user in making the standard resume.
   3. . Resume should be sent in the related section.
   4. People, who need the humane resource, can visit the resume section or the resume could be emailed to them for the consideration.
   5. A separate tab is also kept for the people need some humane resource for some specialized work. Complete profile of the job should be keep there for the reference.
6. Application of RTI for the common masses [RCM]
   1. Various applications can be developed to make people aware and use the RTI.
